Does tailoring a resume actually work?
Yes — it's one of the most reliable levers in a job search. Postings are screened (by software and by skimming recruiters) for the language of the role, and a resume that speaks that language gets through where an identical-but-generic one stalls. If your response rate is low, tailoring is usually the first thing to fix.
How is this different from pasting my resume into a chatbot?
